Participate in a unique experience only at UWL! Once or twice a year History History Club puts on a large historical/political simulation. These simulations put teams of players into the shoes of historical leaders usually during a time of turmoil. Participants face the same issues, decisions, and dilemmas as their historical counterparts. It is up to them to lead their team to victory or defeat!
Volunteering for National History Day Regionals is a yearly highlight for us. High school and middle school students select a historical topic based on the year's theme and submit projects in categories like papers, exhibits, performances, documentaries, or websites. These projects are judged at school, regional, state, and national levels. Our members play a vital role as judges, offering valuable feedback.
The History Club also advocates for issues on campus, and promotes awareness of causes pertaining to the study of history.
History Club weekly simulations, games, and member-led activities throughout the year spanning all flavors of simulations from debate simulations like Model UN, to serious wargames, to fun choose your own adventure games!
We also do member only social events. Our most popular is our December Winter Formal. Last year our theme was a Vegas Murder Mystery!
