OUR STORY
The UWL History Club traces its roots back to April of 1926 with the founding of the original organization under Professor Sanford. The modern incarnation of the club was reformed in 2020 with the goal of building a space that brings people in to a welcoming space to explore the world through a historical and political lens, regardless of major.
Since then the club has grown to be one of the largest organizations in the College of Arts Social Sciences and Humanities at UWL. History Club prides itself with approaching its subject matter through a number of activities, simulations and games, offering an engaging way for members to get involved. This includes History Club's semester MegaGame, where 40 - 60+ people get together in teams to play through a pivotal moment in history.

OUR MISSION
The mission of our organization is to promote a greater understanding of how history and politics intertwine and its relation to the world around us, through events, activities, simulations, socials, and games.

Open-mindedness: Encourage members to approach historical topics with an open mind, considering various viewpoints and interpretations.
