ABOUT THE GAME
Don’t throw away your shot and be in the room where it happens in “The World Turned Upside Down” Megagame. This MegaGame is set in the time of the American Revolution (1774-1782). Players will take on the role of a historical figure from either one of the thirteen colonies, or the British government in London. It will be up to each player to determine how history will remember them depending on what side they choose to support and the role they wish to play, either as a lawmaker in congress/parliament, a military general/admiral or as a spy. This event is designed to be 30 v 30 on the colonial and British sides respectively. This design is well tested and new player friendly. We hope to see you there!
When: Sunday, February 25th, 12pm - 6pm
Where: 521 East Avenue N, La Crosse, WI 54601
UWL Student Union, Bluffs Room (Second Floor)

This game will allow you to play as iconic figures such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, or King George III. The game unfolds in real-time, with each turn representing a crucial period in the Revolution. Engage in epic battles, negotiate alliances, and uncover hidden plots as you strive for victory. Every decision you make has a ripple effect on the game world, ensuring an ever-evolving narrative.
The game itself as mentioned before allows you to play across three spaces: Congress/Parliament, Military Theater, War of Spies choosing which place to play in each turn:
✦ Congress/Parliament - You will have a direct hand in leading the nation and setting policy, either as delegate to the Continental Congress or a Member of Parliament. You will be able to pass laws, raise soldiers and propose solutions to conflicts.
✦ Military Theater - Join the frontlines of the revolution either in support of or in suppression of. You will have to work with your fellow commanders to devise a strategy to win the war.
✦ War of Spies - The Spy Ring is for cunning players who will use their wits to gather key resources and information from the opposing forces to support their cause.
This MegaGame is divided into two groups of teams, the Colonial Teams and the British Teams.
✦ Colonial Teams - On the colonial teams you can play as a character from one of the thirteen colonies. In these roles you will have to navigate through rough political waters. Within the Continental Congress you will have to navigate the political landscape as there are many opinions on the future of America and if America should even pursue independence.
✦ British Teams - On the British team you play a character form within the British Government from the King of England to a Member of Parliament to a General of the Army. You are tasked with holding the empire together and charting its future, not only for the American Colonies but England's Colonial holdings across the globe.
Individual Ticket - These are for individual players, you can register multiple individuals at a time.
Group Ticket - These are for groups of people who want to play together. We will do our best to keep groups together when assigning teams.
Assigning Teams - When assigning teams our priority will be to keep groups together. Our goals is to:
